Schitt's Creek - Season 3
The third season of Schitt's Creek, a Canadian television sitcom created by Daniel Levy and father Eugene Levy, premiered on January 10, 2017 and concluded on April 4, 2017 on CBC Television. The season aired 13 episodes and saw the return of the characters Johnny Rose, Moira Rose, David Rose & Alexis Rose. It was once again produced by Not a Real Company Productions.[1][2][3]

The season saw the return of large majority of the main cast. However, cast member Tim Rozon only appeared as his character Mutt Schitt during one episode, making him a special guest star. In addition, Steve Lund who portrayed Jake during the second season finale, was added amongst the regular cast. Noah Reid was added to the cast as Patrick Brewer, and Robin Duke did not return as Wendy Kurtz.
The season featured 9 starring roles, including 8 returning cast members from the second season. Tim Rozon who appeared as main cast member during the first two seasons, only returned as a special guest star.
The season premiered on January 10, 2017 on an 8:00 pm ET/PT time slot with an encore broadcast at 11:00 pm ET/PT on Pop.[9][10][11] The third season was released to home media in Canada on April 11, 2017. However, the season has yet to be released in the United States.[12]
Seasons 3, 4 and 5 have all arrived on Netflix in October with season 5 most recently arriving on October 10th, 2019. That led our prediction to be October 2020 which was then confirmed (a day after that record-setting Emmy result) that both the US and Canada would be getting the series final season in October, specifically October 7th, 2020.
One major character from the first two seasons, though, is something of an exception. Mutt Schitt, played by Tim Rozon, disappears after the first episode of season 3 and only pops back for a guest appearance at the end of season 4.
The season three pickup comes several weeks after Canadian broadcaster CBC renewed the series for a new season, expected to premiere over the border in early 2017. Season three will consist of 13 episodes.
What happened to Mutt Schitt in Schitt's Creek? The character, played by Tim Rozon, was a recurring figure in Schitt's Creek season 1 and season 2. Rozon guest-starred in two episodes later on in the Canadian series, but many fans have wondered why Matt disappeared after the start of season 3.
Alexis had an obvious crush on Mutt but they both were dating other people at the time. When they finally acted on their feelings, Alexis was engaged to Ted (Dustin Milligan) but she later left him to be with Mutt. The relationship survived until the middle of Schitt's Creek season 2 when Alexis seemed to lose interest after Mutt shaved his beard. In reality, it was the communication issues that drove them apart. Following the breakup with Alexis in Schitt's Creek, Mutt mostly disappeared from the series. Here's what happened to Mutt.
After appearances in the tail-end of Schitt's Creek season 2, Mutt was only present for the first episode season 3. By this point, he was dating a conservationist named Tennessee (Sarah Power). He was initially last seen asking Alexis to watch his barn after planning an overnight trip with Tennessee to forage for pine cones. The trip must have lasted longer than expected because he didn't return until much later. Mutt's departure as a regular cast member following Schitt's Creek season 2 is due to the fact that Rozon landed a starring role on Wynonna Earp. There simply wasn't time for Rozon to appear on both shows. This would also explain why his subsequent appearances were guest spots, requiring considerably less shooting time.
In Schitt's Creek season 4, Jocelyn Schitt was revealed to be pregnant with another son. Mutt reappeared in the episode titled "The Rollout" just before the birth of his brother, Roland Moira Schitt. Viewers also learned that Mutt was newly single when he returned to town. Alexis was planning a Singles Weekend at the time but she still harbored feelings for Ted. Mutt tried to rekindle his romance with Alexis, but she had moved on and grown since he left. Seeing Mutt ultimately again gave Alexis the courage to face Ted in order to spill her heart out.
I admit it: in the past year, I've become a Schitt's Creek evangelist. And, as it turns out, I'm not the only one. The witty, surprisingly heartfelt sitcom about a wealthy family who lose everything and move to a rural town has gained a huge following in the past year or so, in large part thanks to its debut of back episodes on Netflix. Over the course of its five seasons so far, the show has had plenty of memorable episodes and even more iconic, deliciously meme-able quotes \u2014 so many that it's hard to narrow it down to just 10. But that's exactly what we've done: picked out the 10 funniest, sweetest, and smartest episodes. If you haven't caught up with the latest episodes, be forewarned: spoilers ahead! But if you're already waiting for the sixth (and final!) season, check out our chronological selection of the Schitt's Creek episodes that are simply the best.\n\n Related:\n\n \n \n \n \n\n 25 Downright Brutally Honest David Rose GIFs From Schitt's Creek\n \n \n","id":46268785,"type":"gallery","photo_source":"Image Source: POP","permalink":"https:\/\/www.popsugar.com\/entertainment\/Best-Schitt-Creek-Episodes-46268785","canonical":"https:\/\/www.popsugar.com\/entertainment\/Best-Schitt-Creek-Episodes-46268785","share_text":"These 10 Schitt's Creek Episodes Are Simply the Best","use_tall_image":false,"omit_from_countdown":false,"caption_num":false,"slide_tags":"Schitt's CreekTV","is_cover":true},"embed_html":"","embed_link":"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jVojhvifruk","share_image":false,"title":"Season 1, Episode 6: \"Wine and Roses\"","intro_text":false,"body":"The first season of Schitt's Creek isn't home to what most fans will call the \"best episodes\": it's clearly a show that's still finding its way, and the comedy is a little sharper and meaner than it is in later seasons.
