The game was not only the first high school game at the Saranac Lake Civic Center since its $7 million renovation, but the game was also played in honor of Casey McHugh, a 2008 Saranac Lake High School graduate who tragically passed away in 2010.

A few months before his death, Senna had discussed with his sister the foundation of a charitable organization, based on a desire to contribute to those less fortunate in a more organised and effective manner. After his death, Viviane Senna set up the Instituto Ayrton Senna in his honour, which has invested nearly US$80 million over the last 12 years in social programs and actions in partnership with schools, government, NGOs, and the private sector, aimed at offering children and teenagers from low-income backgrounds the skills and opportunities they need to develop their full potential as persons, citizens, and future professionals.[190] The foundation is officially advised by Bernie Ecclestone, Alain Prost, and Gerhard Berger. The Senninha ("Little Senna") cartoon character, born in 1993/94, was another means by which Senna extended his role-model status in favour of Brazilian children.[191]
In March 2014, during the Brazilian Carnival celebrations, the samba group Unidos da Tijuca paid tribute to Senna in one of their parades in Rio de Janeiro. The group showcased his McLaren car along with other characters associated with speed, such as Sonic, The Flash, and Usain Bolt. The school won the coveted trophy for the best parade of 2014.[219]

I joined the Bruce Sexton DDS team in December 2016 as the scheduling coordinator. After several years of being the voice you would most often hear on the phone, I transitioned roles to become the clinical coordinator in 2020. I am also our lead new patient coordinator and working with new patients is the absolute best part of my day! I enjoy working with people and feel blessed to work with a hard working, driven, and passionate team of professionals everyday. As a previous student of Wayland Union schools, I am excited to be working within my hometown community again. When I am not at the office you will find me spending time with my son, Collyn, & friends and family. We spend a lot of time outdoors hiking, playing with our coonhounds, Sadie and Marlee, and exploring beaches. I also enjoy reading, whole food cooking, live music, and group fitness classes.
I joined Dr. Bruce Sexton's team in February of 2020. I grew up in the Wayland area and graduated from Wayland Union High School. After graduating high school, I went on to be a Cosmetologist. After a long and very rewarding career, I decided to close that chapter and head in a new direction to try something new. I am excited to be a part of such a fun hardworking dental team and serve the community in a different atmosphere. As the scheduling coordinator, I am here to keep our schedule organized and efficient to allow us to service your needs in a prompt manner. I am one of the many voices you may hear when calling our office and I am happy to help answer any questions you might have. Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 15 years. We have three beautiful daughters and a Chihuahua named Gizzy. We enjoy taking day trips around this beautiful state, especially the lake shore. We love spending as much time outdoors as we can, whether it be a hiking adventure or just sitting around a bonfire with friends, its always a great time! 041b061a72
